Human Rights Declaration
Shianyih Electronics Co., Ltd. is committed to supporting and adhering to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenants on Human Rights, and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, while complying with the laws and regulations applicable to all operational locations worldwide.
The Company has established a human rights policy to safeguard the fundamental human rights and lawful interests of all employees, including contract and temporary personnel, as well as relevant stakeholders. In addition, we require our suppliers and business partners to uphold human rights principles and have established monitoring and grievance mechanisms to ensure that our human rights commitments are effectively implemented in daily operations.
Human Rights Policy
Shianyih Electronics Co., Ltd. supports and follows international human rights principles, including the UDHR, International Human Rights Covenants, and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, as well as local laws and regulations in all operational locations. The company has formulated a human rights policy to ensure that current employees (including contract and temporary staff) are treated with fairness and dignity. Suppliers and contractors are also expected to comply with these principles.
Human Rights Commitment
1. Provision of a Safe and Healthy Working Environment
We continuously promote activities to prevent occupational accidents and pollution to ensure a safe working environment for employees. In addition to providing a safe and healthy working environment in compliance with legal regulations, we also engage professional physicians and nursing staff from nearby hospitals for regular safety and health, fire safety, and other relevant training. Necessary preventive measures are taken to prevent occupational accidents and reduce workplace hazards.
2. Equal Job Opportunities and Prohibition of Discrimination and Unfair Treatment
We implement the human rights policy in internal control procedures, ensuring that employees and job seekers are not subjected to unfair treatment based on factors such as race, class, language, ideology, religion, political affiliation, birthplace, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, pregnancy, appearance, disabilities, zodiac signs, blood type, etc., in matters related to employment, compensation and benefits, training opportunities, promotion, termination, or retirement.
3. Prohibition of Child Labor
The Company, including its overseas subsidiaries, explicitly prohibits the employment of child labor in all recruitment activities. As of the end of December 2024, the Group has a total of 923 employees (113 in Taiwan and 810 in Mainland China), with zero cases of child labor.
4. Prohibition of Forced Labor
The company complies with the Labor Standards Act and relevant labor regulations to protect employees’ rights. Work hours, overtime, leave, and other types of statutory leave are fully compliant with legal requirements. The attendance system provides reminders for overtime requests, and employees are compensated with pay or time off. Monthly working hours are monitored and controlled.
5. Happy Workplace
We provide a comfortable working environment with coffee, tea, and snacks. Employees are encouraged to participate in wellness activities, such as badminton, jogging, and marathons, with company support. Regular events, including year-end parties, family days, and department gatherings, are organized to foster well-being and strengthen team cohesion.
6. Policy and Legal Awareness
New employees receive orientation and training covering sexual harassment prevention, diversity, unlawful acts, anti-discrimination policies, complaint procedures, company culture, and work regulations. Weekly or monthly meetings reinforce awareness of responsibilities to prevent workplace violations and bullying, with complaint channels disclosed.
7. Occupational Health and Safety
Unsafe work environments may cause employee injuries and significant losses. The company ensures a legally compliant and safe working environment, implements machine protection measures, and performs regular inspections and maintenance. Training includes occupational safety, fire safety, emergency response drills, and first-aid.
8. Friendly Work Environment
Continuous improvements are made to comply with regulations and prevent workplace bullying, sexual harassment, or discrimination. Prevention measures and repeated awareness initiatives create a safe and reassuring workplace.
9. Product Safety and Consumer Protection
Products, packaging, and transportation processes consider consumer safety and customer requirements. The company ensures stable and safe product quality and fully complies with legal responsibilities.
10. Privacy Protection
Internal employee, external customer, supplier, and investor information is managed under relevant policies and IT security measures. Confidentiality is maintained, and complaints regarding personal data can be reported via dedicated channels, with immediate corrective action taken.
11. Ethics and Integrity Promotion
Regular training and awareness programs reinforce ethical conduct and workplace standards, fostering a healthy and positive corporate culture.
The company continuously monitors human rights protection and provides training to raise awareness and reduce the risk of violations.
Grievance Mechanisms
The company has established a whistleblowing policy and provides accessible channels for internal employees and external stakeholders. Issues can be reported to supervisors or the Human Resources Department.
To maintain gender equality and prevent sexual harassment, a dedicated reporting mailbox and email address are provided. All complaints are handled confidentially, and the identity of the complainant is fully protected.
